Presidential Decree Appoints New Executive Directors to National Economic Council

Jakarta, Indonesia – President Prabowo Subianto has appointed four new Executive Directors to the National Economic Council (Dewan Ekonomi Nasional). The appointments, formalized through Presidential Decree No. 88/M of 2024, were made on December 17, 2024. The appointees will each lead different divisions within the council.

The new Executive Directors are:

  • Gaffari Ramadhan, S.E., M.P.A., M.B.A., who will head the Strategy and Economic Policy Division.
  • Mochammad Firman Hidayat, S.E., M.A., who will oversee the Priority Economic Program Acceleration Division.
  • Tubagus Nugraha, S.T., M.Si., who will lead the Policy Synchronization of Priority Economic Programs Division.
  • Pantro Pander Silitonga, B.Sc., M.B.A., who is assigned to the Monitoring and Evaluation of Priority Economic Programs Division.

The appointments come as the government seeks to bolster its economic strategy and implementation. The Presidential Decree was issued following a proposal from the Chairman of the National Economic Council. The decree also references Presidential Regulation No. 160 of 2024, which concerns the National Economic Council.

The appointed directors will be granted financial rights and other facilities as per the existing laws and regulations. Their term of office will coincide with that of the Chairman of the National Economic Council.

The Presidential Decree was officially enacted in Jakarta on December 17, 2024. The Ministry of State Secretariat has sent a cover letter to the Chairman of the National Economic Council, requesting that the decree be conveyed to the respective Executive Directors.

The appointment of these new directors signifies a step towards enhancing the council’s effectiveness in driving the nation’s economic agenda. The selection of these individuals reflects the government’s focus on strategy, program acceleration, policy synchronization, and performance evaluation within its economic initiatives. The decree is effective immediately.
